Green Media Initiative (GMI) is Somalia’s first environmental media, advocacy and climate communication organization dedicated to advancing climate awareness, sustainable development, and a climate-conscious, resilient Somalia. Through journalism, storytelling, research, training, and public engagement, we inform communities, amplify local voices, and promote practical solutions to environmental and climate challenges. Our work includes producing articles, documentaries, podcasts, multimedia content, educational resources, campaigns, and publications, while supporting youth engagement and informed public dialogue. By connecting communities, experts, media, and policymakers we help inspire action and contribute to a greener, more resilient future for Somalia.
